Report Details

The day was cloudy, rainy, and sunny at various times. There was a lot more log debris than usual both north and south of the Yachats River. A fair number of Velella were on the beach, though not as much as in previous years. A dead, headless sea lion was on the beach at north end of mile 193 being enjoyed by 6 vultures. A harbor porpoise with many small teeth was also seen at beach marker 77 (two days later) at the Yachats Ocean Road Natural site.
