There was nothing outstanding in my walk on the beach this time.  I am so pleased to see that the debris level has been low lately.It was smokey though due to surrounding forest fires.  3 dead birds, murre tagged, live shorebirds, gulls, crows. People on the beach.

Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs

Notable Wildlife

Flock of sandpipers, scattered gulls, 2 crows.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 3. leg band on common murre

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt), Wood pieces, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.). Not much debris, Yahoo!!
