Report Details

Two days of storms and strong west winds have covered the beach with debri from the Pacific garbage patch and people. People were collecting floats both glass and plastic. The debri was incrediable. The driftline had beautiful blue jewels, Velella velella, mixed with small pieces of plastic. There was fishing gear, flip flops, shoes, and wiskey bottles all carried to shore on the west wind. It was hard to believe that so much could come to shore in one storm.
