Beautiful day at the beach even with the cloud cover. Filtered sun warmed the body and felt warmer than 57. As usual for this mile, there were very few people. Signs of construction (see photo). Also evidence of driftwood cutting and removal near the north end of mile. Wind was between light and moderate. Light enough so that it wasn't blowing sand in your face but strong enough to make your hair stand straight up. Many broken clam shells with gravel all along entire mile. Very few crab casings. Very little man made debris mainly in the driftwood piles. Lots and lots of driftwood both large and small (see photos).

Cool, beautiful day at the beach. A light to moderate wind coming from the north wasn't hard enough to create blowing sand even though the beach looked as though the wind had recently smoothed it....

Beautiful, sunny, windy Easter weekend day at the coast. Birds couldn't compete with the wind...didn't see one bird on this walk. Human generated debris also couldn't compete with the wind...didn't...

Walk started out 100% cloud cover. By the time we got out of the car the sun decided to show itself and the remainder of the walk was absolutely beautiful. Typical small bits of broken clam shells...

Tide was going out. Started out with heavy mist but cleared by the end of the walk. Fog lifted slightly. Lots of molts and sand fleas (not sure what the "fleas" were).Almost unnoticeable breeze which...

The only issue of concern today was the group camping near the foredune on the beach close to the beach access area. Estimate a total of 30 to 40 people using the beach for fun, playing in the sand...

After camping overnight on the beach, a couple of visitors from Dubai returned to find their rental car with a smashed window and one slashed tire. Not a good impression of Oregon. Then I was greeted...
