Summary:
There was a significant change in drifting of sand up to the vegetated foredune since my last report. As mentioned there was an unusual abundance of washed up moon jellies and a total absence of sandpipers. The only birds noted were 4 flocks of Western gulls and 3 Heerman's gulls traveling with them.

Nothing much to report except for the driving in dis-allowed areas.

I brought two people with me who collected litter while I observed. Found one washed up bottle with Vietnanses on the label.

2008

October 8, 2008 - Treehugger1
Calm, sunny conditions with low traffic of ATVs compared with last observation during summer. Fewer shorebirds noted this time and less debris and dead marine life washed up.
