Very aggressive ATV driver when walking my mile. I waved my arms to let them know we were there because it was very foggy. He stopped driving and told me to go the beach for people who walk. This was for ATV or OHV. I reminded him the beach is for all.

The fog increased as we walked but we saw two carcasses of sea lions and 4 dead birds. They were all within 50 yards of each other and fur, feathers and bones were all that was left. Several turkey vultures were on the two sea lion carcasses.

  • This was the OHV that was on the dunes at the time when he stopped and told me to leave the beach because it was just for vehicles. The flag was on his OHV.

This was a beautiful day on Mile 162. Sunny, warm, with a light breeze. No litter on the beach or in the parking area. OHV drivers were considerate of others and did not drive on closed areas.

Plover recovery official said there were at least 41 Plovers in the area of the sand beach road where the ATV's enter the beach. They like to linger in and around the depressions made by the ATV's....

Midday outgoing tide, very rough surf. Seen about 100 Snipes, 20 Gulls, very large piles of tangled seaweed and several dinner plate sized Jelly fish. Also one seal swmming in the surf.
