Mile 16 - Boardman SP, Natural Bridges, Miner Cr, Deer Pt, Arch Rock - December 27, 2008

This is the section of Mile 16 in Sam Boardman Park I call Thunder Rock Cove Viewpoint North. A very rainy, stormy day. Saw no downed trees or other problems along the trail or in the tiny rocky coves far below. Only one orange and white float seen in one protected cove driftline area. No human activity. Only the cormorant and seagull on the rock in the Miner Creek cove area. No physical changes man-made or natural noticed.

Cloud Cover: Rain. Wind Velocity: Storm. Wind Direction: SW.

Human Activities

None as it was very stormy and there was not even any view from the viewpoint

Concerns

Apparent violations: None that I could see.

Notable Wildlife

A cormorant and seagull on an open but relatively sheltered rock in the Miner Creek cove area

Beached Birds

Very difficult to view any birds on my mile

Stranded Marine Mammals

None seen, most of the tiny rocky-coved beaches are too rough.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates

None seen, again the tiny rocky-coved beaches are too rough.

Driftline Content

Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Wood pieces. One orange & white float in the one small rocky cove that sometimes gets washups.

Man-made Modifications

None can happen here

Natural Changes

This section of my mile 16 is very rocky and steep, so little happens here.
