Spoke with Siuslaw National Forest reps about vehicles. They've been doing a good job keeping up blockades. Vehicle tracks could have been law enforcement
Summary:
Despite threats of rain it was a great day to be on the beach; a calm ocean, no wind, good visibility and no people. Shells, animal casings, kelp/algae, wood pieces and ocean-based debris in the driftline. Thirteen Sanderlings on beach and 7 Surf Scoters on ocean. One Brown Pelican. 21 dead birds on beach. Erosion of foredune. Notified authorities about one set of ATV tracks on closed beach.

A nice quiet stretch of beach.  Wildlife sitings for both miles 142 and 141 are noted on the 141 report.  Active plover nesting with good signage and protection.
