Report Details

This beach never ceases to amaze me. When other beaches are loosing sand this one is in-filling. Sometimes in summer it is down to rock. The drainage pipes are making numerous small streams that do wash out the beach sand. The large waves we have had lately appear to be going all the way up to the cliff in most places at high tide causing landslides and boulder falls. Large amount of kelp/algae, wood pieces, plastic pellets and Styrofoam in the driftline. Sea lion swimming along shoreline. One medium-sized fish that looked like some kind of salmon, but was fairly decomposed. Also found an unidentifiable object that measured about 2 feet by 1 1/2 ft. Moderate human use (9)-6 walking and 3 surfing. Two dogs.
