A refreshingly cool August morning on the coast as temperatures are extremely hot inland (near 100 degree high's from Portland to Medford). Observed fog bank rolling in from half a mile out along with related drizzle. A large number of harbor seals resting on rock formation off shore. One man fishing on rocks below. Seagulls and a few noisy birds (with white breasts) just off shore near Shore Acres observatory building looking for sea life. The trail has been modified and re-routed back from bluff due to erosion in cove area north of old tennis court. At this location a new access trail was also cut in from the east.

13 harbor seals (one pup) resting on wide rock adjacent to shore.

Visible retreat of solid bluff.

Actions & Comments

Trail has been modified and re-routed back from bluff due to erosion in cove area north of old tennis court. At this location a new access trail was also cut in from the east.
