Kelp/algae (large knots of bull kelp and multiple sea palms), occasional eelgrass, small rocks, wood pieces, land-and ocean-based debris in driftline. Shorebirds foraging at surfline. About 50 ft of line entangled in bull kelp and about 20 ft of drift net as well as small pieces of plastic, bottles, beer cans and short pieces of rope were removed from the beach. Low human impact (0).

Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.

Shorebirds foraging at surfline.
Driftline Content
Seaweeds and seagrass, Land-based debris (picnics, etc.), Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Small rocks, Wood pieces. See General Comment.
Actions & Comments
The driftline contained about 50 feet of 1/2' poly line entangled with bull kelp, about 20 feet of drift net, large balls of bull kelp with sea palm and occassional eel grass and multiple sea palms.Picked up and removed line, net, small pieces of platic, bottles, beer can and short pieces of poly line.
