Moderate (17) human use on a Friday afternoon: Two people leading horses to [what looked like] their first experience with surf and the ocean. Six kiteboarders working their way north from Mile 108. Sand level quite low right at Fivemile Point. The large fields of polished gravel north of Fivemile Point are gone, either buried or washed into sub-tidal areas. Harbor Seals on offshore rocks, one Harlequin Duck and the normal complement of gulls. A few small slumps at the base of the bluff. A concern is shellfish collecting.

Notable Wildlife
