Report Details

A dead harbor seal occupied the mid-tidal area several yards south of the 8th St. stairs but not as far as the Coquille Point pass to Elephant Rock. No injuries were apparent except for pecked-out eyes and blood below the jaw. I sent 2 photos to Jim Rice and filed a Stranding Report.

Temperature: 30 F. Tide Level: 3.2 feet.
