A large crane is still parked on the bluff south of Coquille Point, and is involved in constructing a chute or funicular going down to a house near the beach.Stairway down to the beach from the Sunset Motel is still closed.

Bluff development. A large crane is still parked on the bluff south of Coquille Point, and is involved in constructing a chute or funicular going down to a house near the beach. Stairway down to the beach from the Sunset Motel is still closed.
Natural Changes
Winter storms have washed away a lot of sand on the beach and many new rocks are now exposed. Especially in the areas north of Face Rock Overlook and at Coquille Point.
