Beautiful sunny day at near low tide. The beach was remarkably clean. Four people walking, checking tide pools and rocks. One dead sea lion was found at the base of the stairs at the Face Rock Wayside. No notable changes in the shoreline or landscape. Shells, small rocks and plastic pellets in the driftline. One dead Western Gull.

Total stranded mammals: 1. Adult California Sea Lion, dead, at high tide level 100 feet south of stairs at Face Rock Wayside, skull largely gone. Two other small holes from birds feeding.
