Before the hail storm, we encountered a large, dead marine mammal.
Report Details
Before the hail storm, we encountered a large, dead marine mammal. Head and back flippers gone or buried under the sand. It was at least 6 feet long and showing blood, but I couldn't see the cause. Front flippers were large, so it might be a sea lion. Its coloring was a nice deep gold. No photo but I'll try to get one tomorrow, weather and sea allowing. The critter lies in the extreme high line just north of Johnson Creek's now more northerly bend.
