How to Submit a Mile Report
There are two ways to submit a CoastWatch Mile report: a mile report for a full mile walk or a dispatch report for submitting important information without observing the full mile. A printable CoastWatch form is available below, to take with you if you want. Eventually though, you'll know what to look for.
Submit a Mile Report
Record any observations you make while walking your adopted mile.
Submit a Dispatch Only Report
The Dispatch form is intended for occasions on which you have not carefully observed a full CoastWatch mile, but have observed something worth reporting; it is a means of quickly documenting matters of interest, ideally accompanied by photographs. If you observe a stranded marine mammal, after submitting your Dispatch, please file a separate Stranded Marine Mammal report with photos, if possible.
