Wild and Scenic Rivers Talk
Well-known author and photographer Tim Palmer, a Port Orford resident, will speak on “Wild and Scenic Rivers: An American Legacy” on Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the Port Orford Public Library (1421 Oregon St,). The talk, sponsored by the Kalmiopsis Audubon Society, is free and open to all.
Palmer has built a career as a chronicler of America’s rivers and other landscapes; he is the author of “Rivers of Oregon,” among many other works. He will provide a slide presentation on the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to celebrate its 50th anniversary and discuss what it has contributed to American conservation.
