As part of the remote Winter Speaker Series, the Cape Perpetua Collaborative will be hosting Josh McInnes to talk about his research on the behavioral ecology of killer whales on Saturday Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. McInnes is a marine ecologist and marine mammal researcher at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries Marine Mammal Research Unit.

About the speaker:

"Josh McInnes is a marine ecologist and marine mammal researcher at the University of British Columbia’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries Marine Mammal Research Unit. His focus is on the behavioral ecology of killer whales in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. Josh leads multiple studies and is passionate about better understanding the ecology of marine mammals in the California Current Ecosystem. He is considered one of the top authorities on transient killer whales along the Pacific coast!"
