Rocky Habitat Meeting
The Rocky Habitat Working Group of the state’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council (OPAC), which has been shepherding the new Rocky Habitat Management Strategy through to its eventual adoption, is holding an online meeting on Monday, Nov. 9, from 1-5 p.m. The public can sit in and make comments.
This is an important meeting. The process for designating rocky shore sites for special levels of protection is in full swing, and at this meeting the Rocky Habitat Working Group will discuss the standards by which proposals submitted by citizens will be judged.
