Clamming is a highly popular pastime on the north coast, so the July 9 lecture hosted by the Friends of Haystack Rock should find an eager audience.  Shellfish biologist Matt Hunter of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will discuss Oregon's Razor Clam Resource; Past, Current and the Future.  The event, free and open to the public, takes place at 7 p.m. at the Cannon Beach Library (131 N. Hemlock St.)

The Friends of Haystack Rock host the Library Lecture Series held on the second Wednesday of each month, November to May, at 7-8:30 p.m. in the Cannon Beach Library.  All events in the series are free and open to the public. Friends of Haystack Rock is a nonprofit organization focused on keeping Haystack Rock healthy and thriving.

More information on this event will be provided closer to the date.  Watch this space.  For any questions, e-mail Tiffany Boothe at [email protected]
