Oswald West's Birthday Party
It is the 50th anniversary of the passage of Oregon’s Beach Bill, landmark legislation which guaranteed the public's right to visit all 362 miles of Oregon's shoreline. In honor of this anniversary and former Governor Oswald West, who first put our beaches into the public domain by designating them as a highway in 1913, the Portland chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is throwing Os West a 144th birthday party.
The party will feature musical guest Rio Grands, with a special guest DJ afterwards. There will be great raffle prizes and a photo-booth to make some fun memories in. Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting Surfrider's north coast Blue Water Task Force water quality monitoring program. Attend to drink, get to learn more about Surfrider, celebrate our clean beaches, and dance the night away!
Tickets are $5. Reserve on the Eventbrite page http://bit.ly/2pfY0py.
