The next meeting of Oregon’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council meeting takes place on Thursday, Sept. 29, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
This will be an important meeting to conservation advocates, because OPAC will consider evaluations of six proposals for special levels of protection for rocky intertidal areas. Oregon Shores and CoastWatch have been actively engaged in several of these proposals. Decisions will be made on the proposals at the following OPAC meeting (in November or December).
Consideration of the rocky habitt proposals begins at 9:45. To register to attend the meeting remotely, go here.
More information about the meeting and about registering can be found on the Oregon Ocean website, or by watching this space.
