The second round of this winter’s King Tides Project, through which volunteer photographers capture the reach of the year’s highest tides, takes place Dec. 3-5.  For an introduction to the project and guide to where photos are most needed, join an online presentation by Jesse Jones, CoastWatch’s volunteer coordinator, hosted by the Cape Perpetua Collaborative on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m.  The event is free and open to all.

This presentation will focus on the central coast and especially the vicinity of Cape Perpetua, but will be of interest to anyone wishing to learn more about the project.  Watch our calendar for a registration link when one becomes available.

Learn about the nature of king tides and the history of the Oregon King Tides Project, now in its 12th year. This interactive session will focus on those areas that particularly need documenting by volunteer photographers as part of the project.
