About the event

Oregon has participated in King Tides Project, an international citizen science, effort since 2010. The Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP), the CoastWatch Program of the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition, and local partners, including the Oregon Coast Visitors Association, Oregon Sea Grant and others support this project. The webinar will go over the history of the project in Oregon, how it informs about sea level rise, how to participate, and how to navigate the website at www.oregonkingtides.net. Documenting the highest annual reach of the tides with photos tells us about areas of the natural and built environments which are subject to erosion and flooding as well as what to expect as sea level rises.
