Coast Conferences
Curry County Land Use Conference, in Brookings-Harbor
Oregon Shores’ Curry County Land Use Conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at the Best Western Beachfront Inn at the Port of Brookings-Harbor, 16008 Boat Basin Road, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a diverse panel of speakers, including Liam Sherlock, a well-known land use attorney from Eugene. Mr. Sherlock studied terrestrial and marine ecology at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.  He earned his B.A. in biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law.
The goal of the conference will be to provide knowledge on issues relevant to coastal communities, particularly those in Curry County. Conference topics include land use ordinances, development impacts on infrastructure and potable water sources, as well as advice on effective citizen involvement. There will be substantial time for questions and answers. This free public conference is open to all interested members of the community.
For more information, contact Cameron La Follette, Oregon Shores' Land Use Program director, (503) 391-0210, or EMAIL.
