NOTABLE WILDLIFE2 BLOY pair (one couple engaged in aerial courtship display), Turkey Vultures, Osprey, Brown Pelicans, Common Merganser, Red-necked Phalarope (juv.), Spotted Sandpiper, Semi-palmated Plovers, Barn Swallows
DEAD BIRDSTotal: 1  •  Species/names: Pigeon Guillemot, beheaded, being eaten by TV. We have not previously seen Pigeon Guillemot on this mile.

COMMENTSErosion likely from heavy winter storms.
SUMMARYVery low tide permitted access to most of this mile, north to south (except for "the point" which was observed from above and from the south). Gorgeous day -- windy beach protected by Humbug Mtn. Minimal marine and land debris. The stairs at Pigeon Pt. access were removed.
