COMMENTS
SUMMARYThere's an abundance of driftwood on many of our local Brookings area beaches. Having been gone for 2 months I noticed the difference but don't know if it was storm action or something else. A huge Firestone dozer tire 5-6 ft. in diameter now rests on the bit of beach just north of House Rock Creek - technically mile 12 but I had to mention it. Dense Sitka Spruce volunteers, salal, and coyote brush have taken off after the view restoration project at House Rock viewpoint. A few blown down trees litter the Coast Trail. The whales really seem to like House Rock.
