NOTABLE WILDLIFESaw some birds flying off-shore, too far away to identify. Around the beach I saw only ravens.

COMMENTSDuring the summer visitors carved steps into the bluffs in a couple of places. I mentioned this to a ranger - he didn't seem too concerned.
SUMMARYIt was a lovely, warm day at Cape Lookout SP. There were rocks scattered over the sand - last week there weren't any. Assume it's because of stormy weather last week pulling rocks from cobble. The beach seems to have survived another summer of heavy use with minimal damage.
