DISPATCH FOR MILE 245 on 12/13/10   -   TERRYH
LOCATIONLincoln  •  Roads End Beach, Wayside, Logan Creek
CONDITIONSMonday 2:30 PM
SUMMARYLethargic, young seal at far north end of Roads End mile 245. Eyes appeared cloudy. Filed Marine Mammal report. Per Jim Rice, "this is a young elephant seal. It's late in the season to see one ashore to molt, but that's likely what it's doing." Update 12/16: Checked on seal and it appears to be dying. No sign of injury. Notified Jim.
