MODIFICATIONS
NATURAL CHANGESBluffs shedding rock. One small collapse.
COMMENTSHigh tide reaching bluffs along south end of beach. Could see where rocks had come down onto sand. Lots of small debris from bluffs on top of sand. Erosion continues! Good buildup of sand all along the beach.
SUMMARYA beautiful day with a few people and dogs enjoying the sunshine. The tide was low and there was a great expanse of sand. The beach was pretty clean - not much to see except up by the bordering cliffs/bluffs. There we saw kelp and chunks of mussels. Small rocks that had fallen recently. There were clumps of foam on the beach, but it was very white and light. No sign of the bird problems happening elsewhere. In the campground we could see where they're working to put in a new septic system. There is a new road off the entrance road to Cape Lookout SP that goes up to what we think is the new drainage field.
