COMMENTSAction taken on the problem(s) mentioned
Footbridge over creek adjacent to Simpson's cove has broken plank in middle. I notified park ranger about this.
SUMMARYObserved eight people. Six walking on trails and two at Simpson overlook. Noticed small black objects bobbing in the water at north part of mile. Couldn't figure out if they were small seal heads or kelp parts. Forgot binoculars. Took photos and examined them. They turned out to be kelp, but one almost passes as a seal face (see photo). Saw one sea lion swimming southbound thru the rock channel at north part of mile 119. Observed two porpoises briefly surface at mid point of mile about 30 yards off shore.
