Many brown pelicans, Brandt's and double-crested cormorants, western and Bonaparte's gulls, loon sp., and 8 swimming sea lions. Some of the pelicans were gathered inside the mouth of the Salmon River, preening and beating their wings on the water.   MORE

Typical late spring day along this beautiful stretch, which I access by sea kayak when sea conditions permit. Six California sea lions and four harbor seals. A gray whale surfaced near my kayak north of mile 248.   MORE
